About
Diane Rachel Fleming

Diane Rachel is a Scottish landscape artist based in Angus, and raised on a family farm on the outskirts of Montrose. Growing up amongst the ever changing seasonal landscape, she developed a deep connection to the countryside.
Following school she studied Architecture in Glasgow and Australia before building a successful career in rural surveying. This work allows her to travel the length and breadth of Scotland, visiting some of the most breathtaking locations, which further inspire her work.
Though she values the profession and its ties to her agricultural roots, her painting is an outlet for her creative side, an escape and a peaceful outlet.
Using acrylics, often layered with vibrant oil pastels, her experiences shape and influence each brushstroke. She enjoys capturing places that hold meaning for her and others and is inspired by the surroundings where she works, dreams, plays and calls home.
