Diane Rachel Fleming

Diane is a Scottish artist based in Edinburgh, raised on a family farm in Angus. Growing up amidst the ever changing, seasonal landscapes of rural Scotland, she developed a deep connection to place. ​

After school she studied Architecture in Glasgow and Australia before building a successful career in rural surveying. This work allows her to travel the length and breadth of Scotland, visiting some of the most breathtaking locations.

Though she values the profession and its ties to her agricultural roots, something was missing. Painting became her escape and a peaceful outlet for her creativity.​​

Today, her experiences shape and inspire each brushstroke. Diane uses mainly acrylics, often layered with vibrant oil pastels to bring her landscapes to life. She enjoys capturing places that hold meaning for her and for others, drawing inspiration from Scotland's beauty where she works, dreams, plays and will always call home.
